Which of these Linux OS's would you recommend the most for my old computer?

I’ve narrowed it down to
1) Linux Mint 9 LXDE or XFCE
2) Ubuntu 10.04 LXDE
3) Peppermint One OS
4) Peppermint Ice OS
Which of these would you recommend?
I’m looking for a fast, consistent and old-computer friendly, but still want a little flair and style.
Any other recommendations?

I thoroughly recommend Linux Mint 9 LXDE which is built upon Ubuntu 10.04 Its easy to install and easy to use plus it comes with much of the software you are likely to need preinstalled

You download the ISO. image of Linux Mint 9 LXDE then you need to create a Bootable LiveCD for installation
Linux Mint 9 LXDE can also be run direct from the LiveCD from Booting up without touching your Hard Drive
LUg.
linux mint is a great os also ubuntu but since you said its an old computer you should check that you meet the requirements for the operating systems as long as you have at least a 1GB of ram you should be fine or else youll need something like xubuntu which is still good
Depends how ‘old’ the computer is.
None of those will work very well in an old computer.
Puppy 5 or Mepis AntiX will be better (see links).
i would like to suggest Ubuntu….

Debian is a computer operating system composed of software packages released as free and open source software especially under the GNU General Public License and other free software licenses. The primary form, Debian GNU/Linux, which uses the Linux kernel and GNU OS tools,is a popular and influential GNU/Linux distribution. It is distributed with access to repositories containing thousands of software packages ready for installation and use. Debian is known for relatively strict adherence to the Unix and free software philosophies as well as using collaborative software development and testing processes.Debian can be used as a desktop as well as server operating system. It focuses on stability and security and is used as a base for many other distributions.
Go for Linux Mint 9, this distro is great for old computers. Though if you provide configuration of your old computer it would be easier to suggest an ideal match.
You might want to also give Absolute Linux a go: http://www.absolutelinux.org/
Here is list that you may want to look through: http://distrowatch.com/search.php?category=Old%20computers
If you are going by that list, I wold recommend Peppermint Linux (either or is fine)
