Linux.
Open source means free for everyone.
Linux, all the other ones are all kept to their masters.
There would be an argument for saying none of them. Windows XP and 98 are certainly closed source. Mac OS is based on an open Free BSD kernel with closed source sitting on top.
That leaves Linux, which I suppose is the answer they want. But Linux isn’t an operating system as such, it’s a kernel, you need more than just Linux to get going. Ubuntu is an example of an operating system built on the open source Linux kernel.
So the strict answer is none of them, if you allow Linux then you must also probably allow Mac OS.
