Which linux distro is good Fedora Core7(RPM) or Kubuntu7 (debian) ? I want mp3 and mpeg support on my os .?

I know that fedora wont support mp3 and DVD’s please let me know how do i enable that ?
Please dont give the address >http://rpm.livna.org/ . for that i need internet connection . I don’t have one . I can download the binaries form some where and install it .
Please tell me which is better OS

Well Fedora is more of a corporate desktop where you do not want your employee’s sitting watching dvd movies all day long, or listening to their favorite mp3′s! If you’re looking for a good overall desktop solution at home then go with Kubuntu instead, it comes with everything you need in a multimedia system.
VLC media player which can play a multitude of media video formats.
K3B cd/dvd burning suite.
Lacie for burning light scribe disks.
XMMS media player, similar to winamp.
Amarok a very robust media player (my favorite).
DVD=Rip for ripping dvd movies, run with xdvdshrink.
Since you don’t have an internet connection you’ll have to gain access to one for the kubuntu download which is available here:
