Yes you can. You would need to have an internal network (ethernet), which means that you at least need an ethernet hub. You can connect your asterisk server to the hub and your IP phones to the hub. Then you would be able to call between the phones, which could be in different rooms (although that requires cabling or wireless devices). If that’s all you want you wouldn’t even need asterisk, you can call between IP phones using the IP address.
