I’m mainly after drivers that will operate in any Linux-based system (such as SuSE, RedHat, Mandrake, etc.)

just go the these sites and have a search

http://www.oldversion.com
Go to http://www.driverguide.com/
On the left, enter login: drivers and password: all
Click the Network Adapter radio button.
Click the X button and choose Xircom.
Search for "pocket ethernet"
No matches will be found, choose "Add Drivers" from the keywords: drop down.
There are several options and models to download and try. This is an older device and the parent company has been bought by Intel. Thus if no drivers are compatible for you, you’re going to
1) Have to learn how to create your own Linux drivers
2) Update your machine with Linux-compatible devices
Hope this helps!
