You can’t
It depends all on what type of linux you’d like to try out, there are many flavours and distributions of linux out there, and they are free and open source.
You may want to try http://www.ubuntu.com if you haven’t got much experience with linux yet.
There is an installer called wubi that allows you to download and install linux onto your machine with ease, you should try that, too!
Good luck
Well that depends! There are many different versions of Linux. Some are free and some are not. The best thing to do is go to http://www.google.com and type in free linux and hit search. From here you can look around and see which linux best fits you. One free version of linux is fedora core. But search around and see what fits you best!

TIP: Look at the right sidebar to select a version of Linux by popularity. FreeSpire is a good first choice if you’ve never tried any Linux before. Later, you can try Ubuntu, or Linux Mint, for example.
Most can run as a "Live CD" that you don’t need to install on your hard drive. This allows you to test for hardware compatibility and see if you even like it.
Just burn the ISO, here’s a software list:
I use, and recommend, the free "ISO Recorder" from:
linuxtracker.org/ using any bit torrent client. multiple versions of linux here updated frequently .. find the version that is right for your needs.
Depends which distro (distribution) of Linux you want – if you are new to Linux, I* suggest you look at Ubuntu first – have a look here

I would suggest Ubuntu since ubuntu is the easiest to use compared to the other linux packages.
