I a bit of research on this plant and it would take pages to write the back ground of this plant. It is the roots that are used and it set out an apple like pod that smell like and apple.
This plant has had many uses over many decades.
Mythology- It does contain a group of chemicals known as tropane alkaloids that are known to have hallucinogenic effects and the deadly poison atropine which was named after Atropos.
It is highly poisonous and narcotic… the mandrake was associated with medieval witch craft.
