What is wrong with Mandrake Root, Sage, etc.?
Why do you, or others, give me a thumbs down when i suggest some to burn sage for example to bring a balance to themselves and their shelter?
it is a tried and true method that has been used for thousands of years.
do you think it is the hard lining "bible thumpers" who continually dispell methods that are out of the box because they resist new ideas? or do you or others think things such as burning sage is satanic?
just wondering because there is countless evidence to suggest things such as burning sage or using mandrake root actually does have an effect. here is one link for example:

Some people will simply thumbs down any answer they don’t agree with or that challenges their personal beliefs.
I wonder how many of these people realize that smudging (burning sage, sweet-grass, or another such herb to cleanse negative energies) is a Native American practice – and heck, they were here first – some of us have European ancestors who came to America, settled here, formed and founded the U.S. and all – but I don’t see how that gives any of us the right to disrespect those descendants of the original inhabitants of this land, or their customs and practices.
I know that it works, it is not a new idea. However, it was used by the pagan religion, and the christians feel that it is evil, as they do with just about everything.
You are always going to get people who disagree with you on this forum. Take it in stride. Give the answer you feel is best and don’t worry about what others think. Yes, there are fanatics on this forum, or fundies or many other types who don’t go into herbal remedies. Don’t worry about them, you are answering a specific person’s question, not trying for popularity points (or at least you shouldn’t be).
