what is the ubuntu linux – equivalent of these windows applications?
i have an EEE PC 4G that is running on ubuntu eee and i was wondering what are the ubuntu equivalent of these window applications:
1. macromedia fireworks
2. macromedia dreamweaver
3. macromedia flash
4. coffeecup DHTML menu builder
5. Jcreator
6. guigenie
im not sure about using winehq because it might not support all the programs…
will it be better to just switch to windows xp?

You may use Wine since the Macromedia applications work fine on it. However, I do not know of the others. In any case, Ubuntu is a much better OS than XP – it is much safer, faster and powerful.
with the synaptic package manager download wine and install those:) Wine is a windows emulator. Most programs work properly with wine.
I’m pretty sure that the whole adobe suite is platinum on WINE.
Switch to XP.
