What is the default root password for SUSE 10 GNU/Linux?

I have installed SUSE Linux 10 on my computer but because of some problems I didn’t make any new account and I didn’t set root password. Now I don’t know how to login. If there is a default root password please tell me what it is.

you can’t get thru the (Open?)Suse installation without setting the ROOT password;
if you didn’t enter one, the installation didn’t complete correctly;
try to do the following:
- reboot your PC with your (Open?) Suse install media in the CD drive
- choose exactly the same options you did last time;
- after a few screens, the installer should offer to use the existing install (versus starting from scratch)
- the install process will continue as before, but the copy time should be reduces; you WILL BE asked a ROOT password;
be sure to remember what you enter there, otherwise…
Try to login using password "blank". Then change your root password using the command "passwd".
I’m not a SUSE user (I’m partial to Debian-Sarge), but I have seen this question go by a few times in the last couple days.
My first thought is this was a new bug, but browsing (quickly) the SUSE forums, I did not see any "sticky" post, the way you will when there is a new bug announcement.
That doesn’t mean there is not one (like I said, I didn’t look very long..) However, I would recommend looking/ posting your question here;

rather than Yahoo Answers, for the quickest way to get your issue resolved.
Hope that Helps, & Good Luck : )
Try booting from the installation disk and see if there is anything in the repair section. If not do a reinstall and make sure you set up a root & user account, also remember the passwords as you’ll use them all the time.
You set your root password upon installation.
