What is missing here? Linux BSD Mackintosh Microsoft?

I’m solving a puzzle/riddle.
It is called riddles of the sphinx.
Can anyone tell me the answer to this one?

Microsoft is the only one based on closed source code, the others are all based on a Unix source. Nothings missing as such although you could argue lots of linux operating systems are missing (were talking thousands starting with ubuntu being the most popular). They all have the originals of unix in common though if that helps.
It’s a vague question though as microsoft and macintosh are both companies, BSD is an actual distribution and Linux is a subheading for lots of other operating systems.
