What download is available to help re-program a 598U Sierra Wireless USB modem for a Linux OS net book?

It originally was installed on an HP laptop using Windows Vista.

I am almost certain there is an RPM or a DEB for that.
I found a bunch of REV A drivers for that.
On some is a Blacklist or Proprietary Binary , ‘ugly’.
But it seems like it works.
There are a few distros some support it, some do not. PC-BSD does and Ubuntu, I am using gNewSense.
Check sierra wireless’ website. You may need to call your mobile company to get the programming code and or mobile id number as well.
