I think you need to gauge this by your needs. When I say need, what is your greatest need? When it comes to Microsoft, it provides users with the basic needs such as typing documents, organization, development and software, etc. At best its the most commonly used because it user friendly. For Apple, many use it because it has benefits for multimedia and graphic interface. Linux on the other hand his free, and used mainly for development and isn’t as user friendly. I think most importantly you need to decide what your greatest need is. Are you a developer with software? Is graphic design your stong suit? Do you want something simple? Those are the questions you should answer. I can’t tell you what suits you because each operating system has its own advantages and disadvantages.
If you want a computer that actually works, and isn’t plagued by viruses, malware, system crashes, and slews of "Not Responding" error messages, then an Apple mac is the way to go.
If you want a piece of junk that is nothing more than an expensive paperweight, then by all means get a Wind0ze PC.
I’m so confused?????
If you get a PC, you can install Windows and Linux on it and Linux will set up a dual-boot so you can select which operating system you want to run at any given time. Plus, Linux is free. Ubuntu is a popular build.
Edit: Ignore The Blunt Ugly Truth, these are lies some Mac users spread to make themselves feel smart for paying more for a lower-powered, slower computer which runs fewer programs. If PCs were bad, Mac would have overtaken the market decades ago. From Windows XP on, PCs are as stable as Macs if not more so.
In addition, it’s not exactly true that Linux has no support–there are free Linux forums for each build, and many users there help each other with problems. Though free versions of Linux aren’t *officially* supported, you can generally find help for any questions you may have.
Apple has support, but not enough applications.
Linux has no support and very few applications.
Go with Windows.
Microsoft.
Apples are for bourgeoisie elitists who think they’re counter culture because they drink Starbucks and shop at whole foods.
It depends. Not Linux. Trying to accomplish routine tasks on Ubuntu often leads to 10+ hours of trouble-shooting. If you are a gamer, get Windows. If not, get OSx.
Microsoft. Steve Jobs is a mad man who is trying to control the world and parades around like his company is the downtrodden underdog when Apple goes out of it’s way to make horrible business decisions and even human rights violations.
That all depends on what you want to use your computer for and what you are used to, I could tell you:
"MICROSOFT BEATS THE CRAP OUT OF LINUX, and I have never owned a mac…)
But that would be my personal preference
and you should`nt listen to other people when it comes to this. What I can do though, is give you some pointers to the abilities of the different systems:
Microsoft: Is compitable with almost anything, there is not the software that does`nt fit this system, and it is pretty quick, though after some time, it becomes vulnerable to viruses and starts rottening until you feel like you need something else. (That is, of course, if you treat your computer like i do. Like garbare.)
Linux: About the same features as microsoft, but it has different abilities and design and such, this is one I dont know so much about, so do google it for more information.
Apple: If you are a person who downloads IMVU and limewire and all sorts of spacetaking things you`ll never use, this is not the software for you. Many applications are`nt out for apple, and it`s not compitable with all sorts of things. Apple has some kick-ass features though, like awesome amateur-mastering professional-sounding music programs and video-makers, combined with awesome design and no viruses.
It sucks about exploitive labor practices, but then you shouldn’t buy clothing, shoes, televisions, cars, appliances etc either. Make your own computer and knit your own clothing.
Anyway, I am a Mac user so I recommend a Mac for ease of use and better interface. Microsoft sits around and waits for Apple to send them designs and ideas indirectly. Steve Ballmer has a bracelet that says " WWSJD – What would Steve Jobs Do?"
If your looking for the most morally ethical company, your probably going to have to build the computer yourself and install Linux on it.
