What are the easiest ways to run windows applications in Linux Mint v10?

I have Wine (Emulator) compressed into tar format, but I dont know how to install it and whether its 100% free or not.

jajaja and i imagine that u dont know any about compile and run as root user?
i recomend isntall venenux, sidux, knoppix or musix, or better, return to windows!
Did you check your mint menus? Isn’t wine already installed?
are u a newbie, and of course, not read README file as many windose user,
in linux must read averitihng and all king of docs, open compresed file an follow README instructions ok

Wine can be installed directly using the Software manager
Menu > Software Manager
Search for and install Wine
Using Wine on Ubuntu (same applies for Linux Mint)
