Everyone knows whats wrong /w our system. Lack of public voice, pretending to care about people the day after elections, buying senatos/members of parliament /w campaign contributions & lobbyists fighting for corps over people.

i thought open source code worked VERY well for linux taking some of microsoft’s market (better FREE product). just thought spending 15 bucks on the website domain www.opensourceg.com was a good idea. it’s still in it’s infancy and i’d love some help/group of people to discuss ideas /w or help out somehow.

love to push for ideas like:
-votable tax dollars (you earn it, you choose how to spend it)
-voting alongside your mp/senator to see the differences, generate stats
-debates and discussion /w anon users (so more truth gets out)

i can’t make a digg.com, slashdot.org, cbcnews.ca, or province.ca website (yet) but can do what i can.

is this attempt futile? does "democracy" even work anymore for "regular people" or are our voices just buried in a sea of problems. sure would love to get financial stats on where the money goes.

in computer land open code means problems are exposed and fixed rather quickly. i just thought the same SHOULD be done for our govt.

Hi guys. I was using Linux for the last two years but finally caved in and bought an old computer for my girlfriend to use her iphone on. My question is whether I can just remove the hard drive I have on my Everex TC2502 Green gPC w/ Via C7-D Processor (Some quick specs 1.5 Ghz, 512 MB DDR2 533 MHz SDRAM, 80GB Hard Drive Disk, 7200 RPM, UniChrome processor IGP) to the "new" used IBM ThinkCentre S51 Desktop PC – Intel Pentium 4 3.0GHz, 1GB DDR333, 40GB HDD, CD-ROM, Windows XP Pro (more specs small form factor, 2 expansion slots, 3GHz, 7200 RPM).
How do I set it up to where Windows is the main OS (primary driver), and I can access files eg music, photos and videos on the older computer?

Hey, I don’t want to use Linux if I don’t have to. I was just wondering if there was any way I could use the 80GB of memory that are on the old computer, via making the new computer that is running Wondows only, a 120 GB computer? While I like Linux, we need to use Windows for the time being. Thannk you.

PII 300 + 128M RAM + 8M AGP
It’s running Win ME and cannot fluently play most video, including online flv’s. Harddisk space is big. But CPU and RAM cannot improve.
Can any linux make it work? No other applications needed, such as email or office.
