should i install Linux OS on my PS3?

I’m thinking about installing Linux OS on my PS3, But I’m having some second thoughts. should i go ahead and do it? what are the risks.

Do it only if you want another PC. Note: You won’t be able to launch games that require 3D videocards (most of modern games require one).

If you already have the stuff to install it might as well. There aren’t really any risk other than formatting all the stuff on your hardrive.
It runs both os so you can swich back and forth

you can set your grub to boot both the original PS3 os or Linux
If you use Ubuntu look for an optimized distro for PS3 make shure you leave enough room for your ps3 files
if you do use ubuntu you can go through synaptic to get a program called start up manager that will let you graphically edit your grub file
and change the default back to PS3 os
any way do your home work and make shure you need another pc first
