Please help me with Ubunu Linux should be easy.?
Ok so I’m pretty decent with computers but a complete newbie when it comes to linux. The situation this guy has in the link below is exactly my problem (even the same laptop) but i dont really understand his solution lol. so if you could kind of dumb it down and explain it to me in a more newbie-friendly way it would be greatly appreciated and of course 10 pts. There are only 3 steps.

What he means is that you type on those command into the terminal window.
To open terminal window, click Applications, then Terminal.
This is almost like the DOS command prompt window we have in Windows OS.
Then just type and Enter away those command.
(But I think you may need a wired Internet connection at the time to use wget command to download package from the Internet).
Actually there is a simpler solution with the stable Hardy. 1. Plug the laptop through Ethernet directly to your router, and make sure you have wired Internet going. 2. Press Alt + F2. 3. Type “gksudo jockey-gtk” (without the quotes). 4. Enter your password. 5. Check all boxes if not already checked. 6. Wait until install completes and restart your computer. Wireless should be working now.
