I want to participate in an open source project, but don’t have a strong Linux background, but want to really learn it in detail nor have a programming background. I am an OCP (DBA and DEVELOPER), MCSE,MCDBA.
Can you suggest me on how can I participate ?

Many projects have an active IRC channel, try irc.freenode.net #theproduct, e.g. #inkscape or #scribus – though Gnome and Gimp have more popular channels on their own servers. The devs should point you the way of easy jobs for beginners. Participation isn’t just coding – documenting, writing good bug reports, triagimg incoming bug reports, and answering user questions all helps.
