I was wondering if there is any way to grow a plant indoors, that is normally outside, and is out of season to be grown. I ordered some mandrake seeds and i would love to grow them indoors, but its not the season to be growing them. I would love some tips on growing plants indoors.

Do you plant them at home/in your garden? What have you experienced so far, with regards to its potents and abilities? What has the legend of shrieking/screaming mandrakes got to do with how it should be harvested? Do they still shriek/scream today as they used to hundreds of years ago or just on ‘occassions’?

I love how Linux is free. I love how stable it is. I love how fast it runs. But, I gave up at Mandrake 9.0 becuase I couldn’t get my graphics card, modem, ethernet or dvd/rw to work.

What’s the best version of Linux for someone who just wants to use the operating system, the regular add-ons like the wicked PhotoShop-Like software, install QuickBooks (just about any version) and surf the internet.

Also – I need one which will accept my Lexmark X1185 printer.

Also – where can I download this wicked, near-perfect version of Linux which is free and doesn’t involve any scripting just to get the dang thing to do the simplest task?

Mandriva detects all the hardware including my Linksys Wireless PCI adapter but after I get done setting up wifi configuration it says " Congratulations, the network and internet configuration is finished. After this is done, we recommend that you restart your X environment to avoid any host name-related problems." How do I restart the X environment?

Alright I tried Mandrake,It had a nice user interface..etc but didnt run well with my hardware and some software..etc like my verizion Dsl..etc.. What would you reccomend to use..red hat..?

i am having a virus on my windows XP, it is called SCCVIHOST.exe, i am not able to delete it by any means, i even formatted the C partition but with no succes also

so i installed LINUX Mandrake 9 on the same PC having the virus so that i can delete the virus from linux by logging into the other paritions dealing with windows:

i was able to install linux and log into the windows partition, but i am not able to delete the files of this virus, the system tells me, that these are read only file system, how can i solve this? if it helps, i got this error when trying to delete the file from the WINDOWS folder !

another question which may sound stupid, i am not able to log into into folders with (spaces) in their names, for example, if i have a folder named (new folder), i write (cd new folder/) but it does not work! linux cannot find the specified folder !!

My PC has both operating systems, but sometimes I only need to do a small stuff on linux while running windows, and I have to restart with linux, and when done restart again with windows.
So I was wondering if I can possibly start my Mandriva Linux in a window while running windows without the need to restart?
What the best program to do that?
