Mandragora officianarum is the European Mandrake. We have a root that was purchased on the web from Canada. It is growing nicely, indoors, and has never been successfully naturalized in the US.
We have may-Apple, which is American Mandrake, in the woods all over NY state. But it is Podophyllum peltatum and completely unrelated to real mandrake.
I am not familiar with the plant you are referring to, the autumn and spring mandrake. What is it and where does it grow?
