I reaceently installed the LInux Fedora OS in my PC and now the sound is not working, does anybody know what can I used and or do to fix the problem?

I love Linux OS (Ubuntu) on my own computer. But I tried Ubuntu on my 5 year old’s PC. He got confused and still cant get around I have to help him. Now Im taking Ubuntu off and reinstalling Windows XP on his PC. He is happy about the old OS coming back now. Anyone like else go through that too?

my dad plug in his 4 Gb flash drive on linux OS and the linux won’t detect it, only 2 Gb flash drive detected in linux. is it true?

My 5 year old’s computer runs on Linux OS. Its a Dell computer and can he download any Super Stacker games on it?

I haven’t tried any of the new versions of linux so before I waste any time installing an OS, I want to make sure its the best. My general options are either Ubuntu 10.04, Mandriva Powerpack 2010 or Fedora 13. It’s me again. I inserted the XP installer cd then restarted the system. On the start-up the screen says, "PRESS ANY KEY TO BOOT FROM CD…", but that doesn’t work. i repeated it several times but ubuntu doesn’t seem to respond whenever i am pressing a key to boot from cd. ubuntu is just starting the system without booting.
any help?

Will you be able to boot from it? Can normal PC files be installed on the same partition (mp3s, jpegs, word docs, etc..) or would I have to have 2 partitions on it?

I am building a computer looking for a good linux os to use. Im getting the rest of the parts for my computer in the mail soon. Just wondering how to install it after I put everything together. Is it just like installing windows on a new pc by just putting in the disk or is there more steps?
