Yikes don’t install a madwifi RPM, you would probably break something. (?)ubuntu comes with the Atheros driver. I use Ubuntu, so I’m a little unfamiliar with Kubuntu. I believe that you need to enter ssid of the wireless network to connect with "Wireless Assistant" Also don’t forget to add the security key, if the network needs one. You can install Kwlan it can find wireless networks, and should be easier to use than "Wireless Assistant"
