		<description>You can&#039;t get root permissions on Mandriva?  Wher e did you get the DVD to start with?  If it&#039;s not an install DVD then you should be able to get the root password from wherever you got the DVD then just type mount whatever the system calls your hard drives in /etc/fstab.</description>
