A very popular upcoming version of Linux that is COMPLETELY FREE and dedicated to taking down microsoft can be found at>>

It is the easiest to use linux ive ever seen, all free, free updates etc… Read about it anyways.
I would like to use Open suse Linux, but haven’t installed it yet. However, I have used a FOSS alternative to Microsoft office with total satisfication. Get it at openoffice.org.
Only use FOSS? Not yet.
But I’m working on it. In fact, one of my New Year’s resolutions is to remove all MS products from my home computer.
The biggest problem I have had is the printer I had would not work at all with Linux (linuxprinting.org listed my printer as a "paperweight"). However, I just bought a new printer a couple of weeks ago that does work with Linux, so my last major obstacle (other than my wife, who is cracking) has been removed.
Unfortunately, I have had less luck talking them into FOSS at the office, but I am working on it.
I have tried using Linux. It was to much of a pain to find the drivers. Find all the dependencies to install some software that wasn’t included in the distribution I was using. I just went back to windows. I would rather pay the $100 and use my computer without having to spend hours on end searching for crap and trying to learn the ins and out of Linux just to install a program or get a piece of hardware working.
You can always try linux and see if it works for you. There are live CDs you can download. The live CD runs linux from the CD without installing anything on the hard drive.
