why pay for that when there are better distros for free download, they offer very little to the average home user, enterprise its a little different but still better free options available
CentOS is a free rebuild of Redhat Linux.
As Linux is GPL it means anything Redhat develope must be released as source code which other people can then compile which is where groups like Cent OS come from.
CentOS is a fairly stable OS, If your just stuffing around then give it a shot. it is free to download and i probably would not pay more than $ 10 for a DVD.
RedHat Linux is free software because of the GPL, However the Red Hat charges a service fee for providing support and a download of the product. Without paying the support charge i dont believe you can download it. costs about $150 last i looked.
Cent OS pretty Much = Red Hat
