Is Linux Debian for me?

I currently use Windows Vista Ultimate, and I’ve considered going over to either a Mac or Linux. But I know that Linux has compatibility issues with a lot of software and I’m a digital media designer (graphic, audio, animation, video) I mainly use Adobe Master collection, design premium, sony vegas, and corel draw.
Should I move to Linux?

nah probably not. download a live cd and boot off that and play with it then you will know if you like it or not, if it will run or not
Neither Linux nor mac are going to run your windows programs.
There are quite a few "alternative" programs available free for linux that approximate these programs, but the actual programs aren’t going to run.
If you want to try linux without installing, download kubuntu from http://www.kubuntu.com and create the CD from the .iso file. You can boot from the CD and play around with linux without actually installing it. It’s called a "Live CD"
Linux does have some powerful audio tools. I know that Master Ver 3 will run on Macs. Usually designers stick to proven commodities for productivity and reliability out of the box. Open-source can provide some of your mission, it’s just not right for everything. I suggest running Linux on a separate machine to give you time to conduct some feasibility trials on it. Cheaper than buying new software packs for a Mac. There has been limited success with the tools you mentioned running under Wine for example.
Possibly not Debian, but there are some Linux distributions specifically designed for people who perform those sorts of tasks. I’ve never used one myself, not being in that line, but it has to be worth a look
I’m sure you could find software that would work for you under a GNU/Linux distribution, in any case.
However, much as I want use of Linux to spread, I would say that Mac has always been popular among media designers. It might be the appropriate option for you.
No, none of those software can run on debian. Sorry.
