is it possible to install debian without a usb or cd drive at all? Just purely install from the hard disk using grub and grml to boot the iso?

I remember there used to be an option to boot off of a floppy or 2 and do a network install. I don’t know if anyone still supports that though. If you hook your hard drive up to another computer than can install, onto that, you should be fine once you flop it over. To make sure grub configures correctly, disconnect all other hard drives from the computer you use to install from.
