Linux already has better alternatives for most Windows programs. But most people are often afraid of trying something new, like Linux. The only Windows program that I still keep around is Photoshop., which I run both in WINE and Virtualbox. Microsoft will slowly lose, as Linux gains acceptance. For example, Firefox has already overtaken IE. Who could have predicted that. For those saying that Linux is geeky, they surely haven't tried Linux in the last few years. Linux is easier now to use than Windows, especially when it comes to installing software. Also Linux automatically installs drivers for all hardware on your computer, Windows doesn't.
