i have the 3 CDs of mandriva Linux and i try to set up it but this error occure ( hdlists not found)?

this error
(hdlists not found come when i make the partition of the hard disk
and after i customize the File System
ext3
linux swap
ext3
so please
what it is the mean of this error
and how can i solve it

does it see the hard drive ? try making a small root partition ( 500 meg) or try to make the software choose partitioning for you..
( I see you are making a memeory swap seem good..
try this
ext3 choose "root" size 500mg ( thats how system will boot)
ext3 ( main storage)
then linux swap..
This should make your root administrator privileges safer
