hi,
linux usually uses a file system different from windows (ext in linux and fat32 / ntfs in windows). if u need to remove inux and install windows fresh. delete all the partitions in it and create a new partition with the fat32/ ntfs file system. using a windows xp bootable cd will do the job.
both your computer with Windows XP bootable CD, and in installation, remove all partitions and create new partitions, (that way you will get rid of the ext2/ext3 linux partitions) and format the new partitions, proceed to install Windows XP and you should have a PC with fresh Windows XP installation and the whole hard disk to yourself via WinXP fat32/ntfs file system.
Make sure you back all important data from all partitions before doing this because re-partitioning will delete all data
