I have Linux Ubuntu…Is it possible to download Microsoft Office on this operating system?

I know it’s an absurd question, but I purchased the Microsoft Office software through a deal at work and now I don’t know if I can even use the darn thing.

I believe it does work on Wine. Yes.
MS 2003/2007 works with WINE which you will find on the synaptic package manager but you can use open office which also lets you save your documents in Microsoft format if that is what you need. Open office is as easy as MS office so i don’t really see why you would need it.
vmware -> install virtual instance of windows
wine -> may get it working in ubuntu
sell your copy of Office to someone how uses windows and just use openoffice.org that is already installed in ubuntu
