I have a ASUS motherboard with 1.9 GHZ and 256 + 128 MB DDR RAM. And when I try to configure 3d effects, it says that my motherboard do not support this feature.
Any suggestion?

3d effects depend on your video card drivers. If you have an nvidia card, you’re probably in business as nvidia provides decent linux support for their video cards. ATI may be a little more difficult, but it’s still doable. So depending on which card you have, hit up their individual sites for video card drivers. I’m not big on Mandriva, but if there is a central repository for Mandriva specific drivers, you might want to check that.
