There are a TON of sites. Which Linux distro?
http://distrowatch.com/
http://www.linux.org/
http://www.linuxselfhelp.com/
http://www.reallylinux.com/docs/consult.shtml
http://www.tuxfiles.org/linuxhelp/

Your best bet is to utilize the forums for the particular distribution you’re using.
For example, if you’re using OpenSUSE, you can find loads of documentation and a strong forum community to help you at their website: http://opensuse.org
Best tech help site I know of is ManicGeek at http://forum.manicgeek.com/index.php?webtag=MG&msg=3386.1
There’s a lot of talent there willing to help out.
Is that the ONLY time it freezes?
I have been using ubuntu and yahoo mail for years and never had a problem with freezing.
You would do best by going to the forum for your version of linux and search/ask there for help. You will have to provide a lot more info about your system and symptoms in order for anyone to be able to help.
Good luck
