I would like the comparison to be on other hardware platforms too. Other then x86 (Intel) hardware.

Well, unfortunately you aren’t going to find an objective one. Sun & Microsoft would both be happy to provide you with comparitive information since they are both for-profit companies. The reality is that all OS makers are self-promiting, open-source or otherwise.
Also, Linux, Unix and Solaris aren’t mutually exclusive. Linux is a kernel, not an operating system. It is the kernel upon which many linux-based (and therefore unix-based) operating systems are run – Ubuntu, Slackware, Solaris, Debian, RHEP, Fedora Core. Unix is the command-line OS upon which Linus Torvalds constructed Linux (Linus’s Unix).
For the best comparison, you should try them yourself. All linux-based distributions are freely available either through their own sites or linuxiso.org. You may also went to include FreeBSD or openBSD in your comparison, since these are different than many linux-based OSs.
