I really like the interface, and I was wondering if I need a certain computer to run Linux. What computers come with Linux? Can a computer with vista get Linux?

What computers come with Linux?

Can a computer with vista get Linux?
> Yeah just go down load an ISO and burn it to a disk. Try Ubuntu:
http://www.ubuntu.com
go on google and type in linux
then find the official site
then download
all computers can run linux because it uses unix programming, both macs and windows
as far as i know, no computers come with linux, however, there is no harm in doing a search on google
download bootcamp or something similar to have the option of double booting. (before you boot into windows, you have the option of booting into the linux os)
vmware is a good alternative because it allows you to operate linux withing a running windows os
http://distrowatch.com ANY LINUX DISTRO YOU CAN WISH
any computer with intel processors for most distributions
some distros run on power processor too (yellow dog linux, debian)
dell sells computers preloaded with ubuntu
you can buy ubuntu or open suse dvds at comp usa (best for you probably) and install it in yr computer
yes computer with vista CAN run linux too but before you install linux in it you NEED TO PARTITION YR HARD DRIVE for linux
There are computers that come with Linux so you can go this route.
You can also download the following Linux versions:
Red Hat http://www.redhat.com
Suse http://www.suse.com
You can get others and find them by doing a search on the web.

Generally, any PC that can run Windows can run Linux. Actually, Linux runs on many more types of computers than Windows, but that’s beside the point…
Not very many computers come with Linux. Microsoft pays PC makers to have Windows installed on their PCs before you even buy it. But there are a few. Dell sells a line of PCs and laptops with Linux already installed.
A Vista computer can run Linux. The best way to try it out is to download a "LiveCD" and burn it. When you boot your PC from the LiveCD, it will boot into Linux. That will let you try it without changing anything on your Vista PC.
You can also dual-boot.This will install Linux on your hard drive, and it will let you choose whether you want Linux or Vista when you boot your computer.
Hi,
I’m here!
You can run Linux on range of hardware from an iPod to a Playstation, so chances are that if you’ve got some computer hardware from this era… it’ll run Linux. So yes – a computer currently running Windows Vista can get Linux.
You can get Linux by downloading an installation CD or DVD from one of hundreds of sites such as:
http://www.ubuntu.com
http://fedoraproject.org
http://www.pclinuxos.com
You can also purchase computer with Linux pre-installed from Dell, HP and many other companies.
