How to make wireless work with intel pro 3945a/b/g card (on dell isprion 6400/e1505).I have Linux suse 10.1?
I have a dell inspiron 6400/E1505 with Intel pro 3945 abg card.
I have tried linux suse 10.1 and Fedora 5.0 but it doesn’t work.
I found some procedures on google.com but they looked like for Linux-Pros!! I am just a beginer on Linux.
Can anyone help with step by steps? Or suggest which version of Linux is compatible with intel pro 3945 wireless card?

First of all you must download the driver and install that driver .
Intel support provide a readme txt with instructions for installing , but in principal after you extracted the archive in a folder you must do in a xterm -console
./configure – make – make install. If your OS installation it"s ok the installation of the driver should be perfect and you will find the card like any other Ethernet .You can configure the card in Control center in wireless configuration or with network device Control in Fedora 5.
I can’t help but maybe this will give you a starting point:
