How to get kubuntu linux utilities & applications.How to install them?

Hi i got loaded a kubuntu linux system.Now i want to install some applications like MP3 player / Open office etc.Kindly guide me to learn.

If it is the same as Ubuntu which I would imagine it would be very close -
Top left of Desktop screen
System Menu
Administration
Synaptic Packet Manager
Click on the Search button once it opens and enter your search criteria – eg in your case mp3.
It will then list all the packages available for your particular requirement.
Simply select which one(s) you want , and click on Apply.
The O/S will download all relevent files and install for you.
Very easy.
