How to download linux os?

I already have windows os but want to download linux (ubuntu) also. They said that i need to partition my disk or free up some disk space. I dont know how to go with it. Please help me out.

Download the .iso and burn with nero from http://www.ubuntu.com/
Boot from it and let it reformat your c: drive

Ubuntu comes with a partition manager. It will ask you whether or not you want to keep your old operating system partition so you can dual boot when you start up the computer. Works great!
Hi, a couple of links to help you,but remember you can us a "Live CD" if you just want to play around with Linux rather than install the OS on your pc.
