Personally, it is one of the major selling points for the PS3 right now. For $350 you can buy a used ps3 (or multiple ones and create a basic "supercomputer") that is the equivalent of a $1500+ PC. The linux os is so user friendly even noobs can pick it up with a little bit of practice, and to top it all off you can actually emulate windows environment in your linux os, so you can play PC games (or emulated games).
If you have a ps3, get the linux os, it is free and well worth it!
