How do I uninstall SuSE Linux 10.1?
I have SuSE Linux 10.1 installed along with Windows. Now I want to uninstall it. So can anyone tell me how i can uninstall it? I tried using the partitioner to delete all the partitions but the linux partition just like it is explained in the manual at http://en.opensuse.org/SDB:How_to_Uninstall_Linux but its not working. I am getting an error message when I press the "Apply" button in the partitioner. So any other way to uninstall it? I cant use the Linux CD cause my CD Drive is not working.
Didn’t I mention that my CD-Drive is not working?

in windows press (and hold) the windows key and press R (and release both); that’ll bring up the run box; enter
c:\WINDOWS\system32\diskmgmt.msc
and click okay
you’ll see the linux partitions and be able to delete them (right click on it/them and choose delete…)
might not help you if you let GRUB install itself in the MBR (Master Boot Record) of your hard disk (it offers to do that by default……..); only way to remove it will be to delete **ALL** partitions on your hard disk and, thus, reinstall Windows. sucks, big time…
by "CD Drive is not working", you mean you can’t boot from your CD?
if so, you should go into your BIOS (press DEL or F2 when PC is starting up???) and change the 1st boot device to CD-Rom;
don’t forget to add/change the 2nd boot device to Hard Disk, thought (!?!).
You insert the operating system CD reboot computer let it load and then when it says to reformat drive to that and then take out hte CD quickly when done reformat or else it will reinstall linux. But you hard drive would be cleaned and empty.
You could always wipe that partition (Since Grub is on it) so you won’t have any problems.
Start menu -> control panel -> Administrative tools -> Computer management -> Storage -> disk management -> right click Suse partition -> delete partition.
Then reboot, if you get a dos screen instead of windows boot up all you have to do is type….
"Fix mbr" or "fix Boot *Drive*"
You have to do the above in recovery console (And option will come up if windows doesn’t boot)
