How do I configure mandrake 9.2 linux for wireless networking using an airlink 802.11g awlc3026t pc card?

This adaptor has a prism chipset and I have the linux wireless tool set. Please elaborate on possible how to’s software and hardware. My expertise level is above average.

I did not find much information on this card. So here goes my best shot.
First to get it working, you will likely need ndiswrapper. Mandrake 9.2 included this, as I recall. You will need the windows driver from the installation cd for the wireless card.
Second, follow the instructions from the second link once you get the card installed.
Also, I would recommend upgrading to the lastest Mandriva distribution. That way you get the lastest kernel and version of ndiswrapper.
I dunno… Not big on Linux.. But heres some advice avoid wireless. Especially if you have alot of wireless gadgets already. I have wireless and I lose a connection every time I use my cell phone or change a channel on the tv lol..
