How come Microsoft Word always underlines Linux as being mis-spelled? Is this a Microsoft conspiracy?

   Linux is not a word, it’s a brand name.

   it is a proper noun. Most proper nouns are mis-spelled on Word. FOr example type in Kaylee it is wrong.

   Spell checks will show a spelling error if the vowels and consonants do not adhere to a general pattern. Most times the spell checker is correct but in your instance it does not recognize the pattern in "linux" as normal. It appears that "linux" is also not in your spell checkers dictionary as being a legitmate name/word.
