How can I use my iPod Touch with Linux Mint?

The ONLY thing holding me back from keeping Linux is one thing: my iPod Touch 2G. How would I go upon putting music/videos on it? What sortware/applications should i use?* i DON’T need the iTunes Store.. All I need is the ability to put music on it, no apps or special stuff.
THANKS!!!
Oh and for some reason, Linux thinks my iPod is a camera?

Us Linux guys get no support. Look, as it is, we are not gonna have an easy way to sync touch/iPhone for a while. I’ll post some links later, but I have to sleep. To let you know, most ways involve jailbreaking, which is now stable, and unix based like Linux.
