Im a student and i work with software like 3dsMax, AutoCAD and Photoshop. I use windows. But i’ve been wanting to switch to Linux and i wanna know if there r versions of these applications that’ll work on Linux, because otherwise its not worth the switch for me. Or are there any alternate applications that are as good/user friendly as these? please help!!

Your choice really depends whether you want to go with commercial packages or stay Open Source.
Developers of the former are usually only too pleased to provide Student versions at a discounted rate. As to Open Source, well there is a whole community out there dedicated to each package, and only too willing
to help you get started. Download the software and
off you go.
Either way, simply get in touch with them.

Those three windows applications (3ds max, autocad, adobe photoshop) were not available on Linux version.
However, if you already install Wine on Linux, you can try to install those windows application. Based on my experience, installing windows applications with wine on Linux is painful, and mostly failed.
If you want to switch to Linux, but still need some applications that not available on Linux, you may dual booting your computer with Windows and Linux both live on your hard drive.
After installing Linux you can starts learning alternative applications that already available for Linux.
If you still in doubt, just install windows version of Blender, or GIMP or something else. You can start learning those opensource applications without installing Linux.
When you ready, you can start using linux. FYI, rendering image in linux with blender is faster than under Windows.
