I need a free partitioning software to partition a part of my hard drive in FAT32 while the other part is NTFS. Any ideas? How do I switch between two different operating systems?

Suse will do it for you, and set up the boot option.
Not being funny, but if you don’t know that, why are you installing linux ? You will never use it if you are a windows user unless you are into IT, or a professional.
Get yourself a copy of mepis or something like that, and just play with linux booting from a cd. They seem to have all the drivers to just run and play.
