For you Linux gurus out there – where to get Redhat w/Fedora distro?
I have x386 machines and I wanted to know where to get either a CD (or create one) that is a live CD that will allow me to boot up from it and then let me partition my hard drive (I need to keep my Windows) install preferably redhat linux with fedora desktop. I think that’s KDE. I then can get dual boot. Canonical will give you the CD for free for its Ubuntu. I wanted to know if there is some site where I can get the redhat stuff in a similar fashion. Thanks.

Fedora and Redhat are two separate operating systems.
Fedora and Redhat are very similar, Redhat is just the commercial operating system, while Fedora is the community one.
You can get a Fedora live CD here:
w/ Gnome – http://fedoraproject.org/en/get-fedora
w/ KDE – http://fedoraproject.org/en/get-fedora-kde
Note – You can still install KDE or any other desktop environment and/or window manager on the Gnome one and vise versa after the operating system is installed. Fedora is a modular operating system.
One good alternative (Provided you can boot from a USB stick, check the boot options of your machine) Fedora distro is the Live USB Creator : https://fedorahosted.org/liveusb-creator/
Here is a guide from Lifehacker: http://lifehacker.com/391067/fedora-9-puts-your-desktop-on-a-usb-drive
For Fedora 10 desktop, check here for the KDE version: http://fedoraproject.org/en/get-fedora-kde
and here for the GNOME version: http://fedoraproject.org/en/get-fedora
An installation guide can be found here: http://docs.fedoraproject.org/install-guide/f10/
Help can be found here: http://fedoraproject.org/en/get-help
Documentation here: http://docs.fedoraproject.org/
As for dual-booting, here is an excellent article: http://apcmag.com/the_definitive_dualbooting_guide_linux_vista_and_xp_stepbystep.htm
Hope this helps
