Do you like Puppy Linux?

Puppy is definitely one of my favorite distributions. I love the community, it’s easy to use, you can install .deb, .rpm, and the custom .pet files, and it runs really quickly on any hardware.

In all honesty, puppy has always been used for the majority of minimalist users and as a general backup live cd. However, as of late, I have found SliTaz. It’s just as fast, if not faster than Puppy, installs in five minutes or less and comes with a decent set of installed programs, including Midori web browser and Open Box window manager. It’s a little speed demon, tbf.
Not much enthusiasm from the first two poster. Personally my favourite for general use is Ubuntu. BUT as my second favourite Puppy is not far behind. Why/ simple I can carry a 2gig flash drive in my pocket and use my set up virtually anywhere. Any computer that will boot from USB is usable, the number of mates who have benefitted from me being able to get into thier computers with Puppy when Windoze got screwed is now in double figures. Small certainly, handy for sure.
If all you do with the computer is internet ,its fine
Nothing special there.
