Do you feel like Microsoft is trying to make Vista so secure that it will cause people to use Linux instead?
Vista treats every one the same, example: Your an Idiot and Vista knows better, I am beta testing Vista and I get annoyed after trying to install a program, getting asked twice if I am sure I really want to let it install, there are many different anoyances like that. I emailed Microsoft and asked them if the would add a Prefesional mode for people who know what they are doing to unlock certain systems but I doubt they’ll listen. I mean the Last time I needed training wheels on anything I was 5, so why is Microsoft giving us an OS with training wheels?

I don’t see what your details have to do with security, but I agree a professional mode would be a good idea, and maybe a newbie mode for Linux
It doesn’t matter to me if Microsoft adds that in Vista, I won’t be buying it.
I also agree with the answer above that most people do need the training wheels. Many people want the computer to just work and not worry about the details, just like I want my car to just work without having to know how to change the transmission in order to drive it.
i use both Linux and WIndows, and with linux you r more free; only thing that is wrong is not all software is made 4 linux
I guess….YES…
dont talk so stupid linux is wide open for hackers to get in your system you fool
That’s what they said about XP. I think your details are a different issue than your question.
Because most people unfortunately need training wheels when it come to computers. Just read a page or 2 or the questions that are asked about computers here on Answers. Ouch!
I agree however, a professional mode would be nice. That was a great idea of yours!
On XP unprompted admin rights was the default. On Vista the default is to prompt. You can easily turn that option off. I don’t have my Vista Test Machine handy to talk you through it, but look at all the advanced user settings and you should find it. Good Luck!
Damn U Microsoft. Damn U to Hell.
