Can you suggest a site to install Linux on Microsoft Virtual PC 2007?

Can’t find anything which helps. The system does not recognise a Fedora boot cd.

Virtual PC is a bit duff, sorry.
Are you sure that you want to run stable linux on top of dodgy windows? isn’t it better to make a 20GB hole and instlal it there? No trouble with dual boot, and linux boots in maybe 30 seconds to desktop…
Well anyway, you should try a few – so google now and try these two for two slightly different looks…
ubuntu download
pclinuxos download
Burn them to two CD’s. I think PC linux runs very very nicely on disc, especially if you click ‘copy2ram’ – it’s fast but takes a while to come off the disc.
Ubuntu is nice installed and modified. But sure, the disc images are the place to start. But if you install as virtual PC, you can’t choose not to use Windows simultaneously – and seriously I never thought I’d see the day, but only 3 months later I think Windows only gets a look in when I have networking problems and want to be sure it’s networking and not a software issue.
Don’t worry about distro’s – it is easy to delete the partitino and change a bit later on, or if you prefer ‘kde’ and you get ubuntu with gnome, you can just install kdesktop and choose which to use. Ubuntu has the most amazing online presence… PC linux looks more sophisticated out of the box, but my ubuntu looks much sweeter now.
You should find a Fedora site and make an account and post your question where it is going to be read by people who use Fedora.
