Can you install you have Rockbox and Ipod Linux on an ipod nano 1st genteration 2gb white?

I already have Rockbox but there is an application that i want for ipod linux so i was just wondering if i can have both without damaging your ipod.

yea i’m looking to do the same thing, and yes you can. go here http://www.ipodwizard.net/showthread.php?t=15488 and there are directions, although some links on the site dont work anymore, but you can find where they were supposed to take you (or a site like it) fairly easily with google. i haven’t done it yet but it looks very promising. tell me how it went.

Simple answer: NO
Complex answer: Both "distros?" are designed to be the only Linux on the device. I know Rockbox can share with the factory installed system, so It might be possible, I think it would be easier to port that application to Rockbox. Either method would takes some serious skils.
